Abstract
AI tools are rapidly transforming the threat landscape, reshaping how attackers target both individuals and organizations. Aman will provide a high-level overview of recent developments in AI and examines how these tools are enabling greater personalization, realism and scalability in attacks, while simultaneously reducing the technical expertise required to launch them. He will also discuss the various ways AI is being leveraged to exploit vulnerabilities across both organizational and personal contexts, supported by real-world examples. The session will conclude with practical recommendations aimed at helping both individuals and organizations strengthen their defenses in the face of evolving AI-driven threats.
Speaker bio
Aman Ibrahim is the CEO and Co-founder of DeepTrust, founded in 2023. DeepTrust’s mission is to create tools to protect voice and video communication from deepfakes and social engineering. Aman studied Computer Science at Duke, where he founded the Duke Applied ML Group. He started his career in healthcare, doing research at the Duke Big Ideas Lab, working on applied ML in Healthcare. He worked on projects like CovIDentify doing early cold and flu detection from wearables data, and Nutrics – making adaptive recommendations for nutrition and physical activity. Prior to founding Deeptrust, he worked as an ML Engineer at Cruise, building self-driving cars.
